There are two ways to go about it:

First one, the customer can bring their own measurements to the showroom and our sales associate will be able to get you prices then. Or we can go the customer’s house for a free estimate.

At Sunshine Granite, we charge for only your square footage ( only what you take ). Therefore, we do not charge for an entire slab even if we only use a small portion of it.

At Sunshine Granite, we have our own crew of installers.

Typically after the template, we are about 1-2 weeks out depending on the season.

The difference between countertops materials is simple. They are divided between two classes: manufactured stones, and natural stones.

Manufactured stones are called Quartz, and they are typically easier to care for since they are not porous, therefore they do not require any sealer that prevents stains. However, since they are made with chemicals, setting hot materials on top of them can cause a chemical reaction which will result in discoloration in the stone.

Natural stones are Granite, Marble, Quartzite, Onyx, etc. All of these materials are porous and they do require sealing at least once year unlike quartz. However, these material should be able to resist the heat pretty well also unlike Quartz.

We understand it is difficult to make an informed decision about a countertop purchase without samples or swatches to take it home and see it in your space. Therefore, yes ! We do offer samples, swatches and much more to facilitate your decision making.

In order to maintain your countertops, it is recommended to only use soap and water ( no need for anything else). In addition, if you have natural stones ( granite, marble, quartzite, etc ) , it is recommended that you seal them 1-2 a year. In order to seal, simply use a professional sealer, clean your countertops first then apply until it is dry.
